The approach of the monsoons is a joyous and enchanting time, with water all around, the green trees and plants blooming to their full extent, the world suddenly seems like such a beautiful place. The smell of the first rain just makes it better. But, like they say, every coin has two sides. With all the beauty the monsoons also seem bring, water-logging to the cities, making it harder for people to live their everyday life.
With all the problems that the rains get along with their arrival, the mushy feeling after wearing wet shoes is the worst. With all the water around, the feet just can’t be saved from getting drenched in the puddles. No matter how hard one tries the puddles cannot be avoided and spending the entire day with wet shoes is far from appealing.
In order to avoid this problem, people tend to prefer wearing flip flops. Being completely open the water doesn't accumulate in them and as most of them are made of rubber, they tend to remain comparatively dry. But then again there is a down side to this as well. With no proper straps, it becomes difficult walk in slippers during a heavy shower.
With a number of pros and cons on both footwear options, companies came up with a brilliant idea, footwear that is water resistant and which does not slip off your foot as well. They came up with the brilliant idea of sandals. Sandals for men are mostly open like slippers and yet have a tight grip strapping them onto your foot, just like shoes. This makes sandals just the perfect footwear for the monsoons. With various designs and colours, there is a perfect sandal for everyone. These are not very expensive and also comfortable to wear. Make sure to grab a pair with the monsoons approaching, in order to stay dry and comfortable at the same time.
